Professional Development Statement
My Personal Philosophy
As the head of learning and development, I am deeply committed to professional development and continuous learning. I actively engage in expanding my knowledge and skills by being an avid learner and a naturally positive, servant-minded leader. I am proud to be an active member of the ATD (Dallas chapter), a certified Franklin Covey facilitator, and a certified Personalysis practitioner.
In my role, I apply my expertise in adult learning theory, principles of Andragogy, the ADDIE methodology, Bloom’s taxonomy, and more to drive impactful L&D initiatives within my organization. I have successfully introduced innovative approaches such as microlearning videos and spearheaded organizational improvement initiatives to support diversity and inclusion goals, implement a new LMS, launch an internship program, enhance onboarding processes, develop comprehensive leadership and professional development programs, and more.
At the core of my philosophy is the belief that effective learning and development initiatives should be inclusive, organic, applicable, and informational. I strive to create an environment that fosters growth, exploration, and expression of individuals' true capabilities by promoting a fear-free atmosphere. This belief guides my mentorship and leadership approach, ensuring that my team feels safe and empowered to thrive.
I returned to school to obtain a Masters in this field to ensure I not only have the real world experience, but also the education to support organization development, leadership, learning and technology. I am dedicated to driving meaningful change and delivering impactful learning experiences that drive organizational growth and individual development. By leveraging my expertise and fostering a supportive environment, I aim to make a positive and lasting impact on the professional growth and success of individuals and the organizations that I serve.
